Depuis près d’un siècle (1923), le Centre de Recherches sur la Biologie des Populations d’Oiseaux (CRBPO) archive au sein du Muséum national d’Histoire naturelle toutes les données de baguage d’oiseaux concernant la France. Près de 5 millions de ces informations ont été numérisées et viennent d’être mises en ligne.
