A scalable and transferable approach to combining emerging conservation technologies to identify biodiversity change after large disturbances

Ecological disturbances are becoming more extensive and intensive globally, a trend exemplified by ‘megafires’ and industrial deforestation, which cause widespread losses of forest cover. Yet the hypothesis that contemporary environmental disturbances are affecting biodiversity has been difficult to test directly.

Depuis 2018, l’AFB et le Centre d’écologie fonctionnelle et évolutive (Cefe) coopèrent pour fournir un appui méthodologique et statistique aux gestionnaires d’espaces naturels protégés. Cet accompagnement porte sur la conception et la mise en œuvre d’opérations scientifiques (inventaires, suivis, etc.).
