This questionnaire is a part of the data gathering effort for the study: “Technical support in relation to the promotion of restoration in the context of the EU biodiversity strategy to 2020”, reporting to DG Environment of the European Commission. The EU biodiversity strategy to 2020 foresees (Target 2) that restoration of degraded ecosystems will play a significant role in the achievement of the headline target of stopping biodiversity loss. In order to provide the assistance to Member States in boosting the amount of restoration actions, this study aims to give the Commission a better understanding of what is happening in relation to restoration activities in different member states, sectors, and habitats across the EU.
